NORDJÖRK X FLUX CUSTOMS
We partnered with FLUX CUSTOMS, one of the most highly regarded custom finishing outfits operating today. With roots in the cycling industry, the high-tolerance nature of modern cycling products and the discerning nature of custom and OEM clients, their focus is on producing the absolute best finish for the task at hand. This attention to detail and deep knowledge of carbon fiber materials, allowed us to present the next generation of cross-country skiing poles.
THE PROCESS
Our Partycrashers Pole Collection is a labor of love and unrelenting attention to detail. Using the finest automotive-grade paints and ceramic finishes on the market today, they're painstakingly created - entirely by hand. No step too small, no element overlooked and every factor in the color-shifting and holographic glitter application is handled by professionals who know their way around carbon fiber finishes.
PREP
Each blank is inspected and prepared for painting with hand sanding. Immediately prior to spraying the first of many applications, poles are cleaned to remove any surface contamination.
APPLICATIONS
Multiple layers of automotive-grade paints and ceramic finishes are applied to ensure maximum adhesion of color, and if holographic glitters are on the menu - they are mixed and applied during this middle phase.
FINISHING
Decals are positioned and hand-affixed under a glassy, high-cure finish coat with additional processes to ensure curation and hardening onto the pole. Providing the best protection that's meant to last a very long time.
